What can we find that is special about Michelangelo? We suppose the sculptures that are used as icons could certainly be called special. The fact that the game has ninety-nine pay-lines is also pretty special. How can one fail to lose when they play? Icons used include a large green “M” which we suppose stands for Michelangelo (how imaginative is that?), the bust parts of three famous marble statues, Ace King, Queen and Wild. The Wild card of which there are two – one appears on reels one, two, and three, and the other on reels two, three and four.

After winning combinations icons seem to animate, lighting up, turning into spinning lights, and then disappearing. It is most disconcerting to watch them go up in a puff of smoke, while other icons slot into their place. However, icons to tend to drop into place rather than spin. This is known as the “tumbling reels feature”. Graphic design and animation are nothing to write home about, this is simply another of IGT’s “cloned” video slots which seems to have been churned out on an assembly line.

Players may activate one, ten, twenty-five, fifty or ninety-nine pay-lines depending on what they prefer. Obviously the more pay-lines that are active, the better the chances of winning are. For this reason we prefer to activate all lines, and make use of a smaller coin size if the wager is too expensive. The coin sizes in Michelangelo are 0.01, up to 1.00 for a maximum bet of 99.00.

Bonus Features

A Free Games icon triggers a free spins bonus round. It will play on all ninety-nine lines even if the player had activated less for the wager that got them into the bonus game. This feature cannot be re-triggered which is the norm for IGT slots, and a pity really, this could have made them a lot more attractive.

modify the game so you can activate the "SPIN" button with the "Enter" key.

This game is a blast. I like the way it plays, it's fast enough to keep you interested in continued play. The graphics and sound effects are yummy.
